What this site collects, who else collects it, and how to say no.
In short
Janadesh Online has no accounts, logins or sign-ups, and does not sell personal data. Reading the site needs nothing from you. Two Google services, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, run on it and use cookies, described below. Everything else we store is limited to what a feature needs to work.
What is collected, and by whom
Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view. We use the aggregate figures to decide what to improve.
Google AdSense (advertising)
Google and its advertising partners may show ads on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. We do not control which ads are shown and do not receive your personal information from them.

Amazon Associates links
Book links carry an affiliate tag. If you follow one, Amazon may set its own cookies on amazon.in under its own privacy notice; we do not see what you do there.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, your name, email address and message are emailed to us through an email delivery service (Resend) so that we can reply. We do not add them to a mailing list.
Reader polls (India Political Pulse)
To allow one vote per person per day, we store a one-way hash of your network address together with the date, alongside your answer. The address itself is not stored with the vote. Your browser also remembers locally that you voted.
Your browser’s storage
The site keeps your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Server logs
Like any website, our host’s servers process your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to guard against abuse, for example by limiting how often one address can submit the contact form.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. To stop Google Analytics, you can install Google’s browser opt-out add-on. To manage personalised ads, use the Google and industry links above.
Children, changes and contact
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. If this policy changes, the new version will replace this page. For any question about it, use the contact page. See also the disclaimer & license.
